Does my pet need professional dental care?

Yes. Professional dental care is an important part of maintaining your pet’s overall health because dental disease can cause pain, infection, and other health concerns if left untreated. Our Pet Dental Care services help prevent and manage periodontal disease, remove harmful buildup, improve oral comfort, and protect your pet’s quality of life. Signs that your pet may need a dental evaluation include:

  • Bad breath that does not improve
  • Yellow or brown tartar buildup on the teeth
  • Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
  • Difficulty chewing or dropping food
  • Changes in eating habits
  • Pawing at the mouth or rubbing the face
  • Loose or missing teeth
  • Excessive drooling

Regular dental examinations allow our veterinary team to identify problems early and recommend the appropriate care to keep your pet comfortable and healthy.

How can acupuncture help my pet?

Veterinary acupuncture can help manage pain, improve mobility, and facilitate healing. This therapy involves placing very thin needles at specific points on the body to encourage a natural response. It does not replace, but rather complements traditional veterinary care. Our veterinarians may recommend acupuncture as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for a variety of medical issues, such as arthritis, hip dysplasia, nerve damage, and many other conditions.

We evaluate each pet individually to determine whether acupuncture is an appropriate option based on their health needs, medical history, and overall treatment goals. Many pet owners appreciate having additional options available when managing chronic conditions or age-related changes in their companions.

If you think that your pet may benefit, please fill out our Pet Acupuncture Questionnaire.

Do you provide health certificates for pets that travel?

Yes. We help eligible pets prepare for domestic and international Travel by providing health certificates and travel guidance when required. Because travel regulations vary by destination, we recommend scheduling your appointment well in advance so our team can review current requirements and complete any necessary examinations, vaccinations, or documentation.

Can I order my pet’s medication and food online?

Yes. We offer convenient options to request your pet’s medication and food online through our online store. All medication requests are reviewed and authorized by one of our veterinarians.

Preventative Care and Ongoing Support

Why are wellness exams and pet vaccinations important?

Routine wellness visits help us detect health concerns early while keeping your pet current on recommended preventive care. During Wellness Care appointments, we evaluate your pet’s overall health, discuss nutrition and lifestyle, perform a physical examination, and recommend dog vaccinations, cat vaccinations, parasite prevention, and screening tests based on age and risk factors.

What are Wellness Panels, and why are they recommended for my pet?

Pet Wellness Panels are preventive screening tests that evaluate your pet’s internal health and help detect changes before symptoms appear.  They can identify early changes that may not be detectable during a physical exam, allowing us to detect concerns sooner and monitor your pet’s health over time.

We offer canine and feline Wellness Panels, with exact parameters based on your pet’s age and healthcare needs. Bundling these recommended tests together also provides a more cost-effective option compared with purchasing each test separately.

We know your pet’s health is important to you, and these screenings are one way we can help you stay proactive about their long-term care.

Do you offer diagnostic testing?

Yes. Diagnostic testing allows us to identify many illnesses before they become more serious. Our Diagnostics include laboratory testing and imaging that help our veterinarians evaluate your pet’s health accurately and recommend the most appropriate treatment plan.

How often should my pet see a veterinarian?

Most healthy adult pets should have a veterinary examination at least once each year, while puppies, kittens, senior pets, and pets with chronic medical conditions may benefit from more frequent visits. Regular checkups allow us to identify changes early and answer your questions before small concerns become larger health problems. We will recommend a schedule based on your pet’s care needs.
